This remodel and addition project in Malvern is major. We’re taking our cues from the original home’s gracious touches and our clients’ desires for high quality and preservation of original details.
That means that in a project this size, it’s the little things that count so much — getting the small details right can make the biggest difference.
Our carpenters painstakingly measured and studied the original staircase in the older part of the home. They seamlessly recreated the look on the new staircase off the family dining area leading to the master suite.
There are copper touches everywhere, from the expansive roof over the patio (which has an outdoor kitchen) to the oversize farmhouse sink in the kitchen.
Tin fixtures date from the time the original house was electrified. We removed, cleaned, and rewired them — and rewired the older home — for use throughout the house.
Doors with their original hardware were removed, restored, and relocated to the new master suite’s hall entry, where they await final paint touch ups.
In the new powder room in the addition, a slab of wytch elm becomes a vanity shelf for a vessel sink and rustic faucet set.

The massive La Cornue range anchors the open kitchen — providing professional cooking power with a decidedly French style. The open doors give you a view of the company’s signature vaulted oven design.
